I started my teaching career in 1995 while trying to make it as a working dancer. While just dancing couldn’t pay the bills, I supplemented my living with teaching group fitness at gyms – and in the toughest city in the world… New York. So I had to learn fast. And boy did I learn the hard way. Here’s how it played out…
While I thought I was kick-ass instructor, I'd always have a few students leave in every class, and I was always clueless as to why. You can imagine the embarrassment I felt. But not only that - it was the immense feeling of failure that got me. I never wanted to feel that way again.
